The second phase of construction will complete the remaining four resort buildings. Each building will contain eight luxurious, high-quality, one bedroom suites ranging in size from 850 to 1000 square feet. “The Point Resort”, when construction is complete, will have a total of five resort buildings. Construction is scheduled to begin following a successful pre-sales program

“The Point Resort” will be the first floating resort in British Columbia to provide individual ownership through four multi-share corporations, one for each building. The corporations will enter into a sublease with NLC. The sublease will be acknowledged by the Ministry of Agriculture and Lands – Integrated Land Management Bureau.

Similar to a strata corporation or co-op, there will be fees payable by the individual unit owners for assessments relating to taxes, utilities and upkeep. Each unit will have its own meter to monitor electricity use. Water, sewage, fuel consumption, maintenance and depreciation costs will be shared equally between the corporations. Provincial taxes will be invoiced, collected and paid by NLC. If owners are interested in generating revenue, they will have an option to enter into an agreement with NLC to lease their unit
