We are in the accommodation business and have been for more than eighteen years.
We strive to provide the best ‘crew’ furnished homes like ‘no one else’ on Vancouver Island.
Our four and five bedroom furnished homes are 75 minutes away from Campbell River in the Village of Gold River. Gold River is the entrance to Nootka Sound, a quality sports fishing destination.
The drive from Campbell River to our houses will provide an extended view of the upper and lower Campbell lake. Wildlife sightings of elk, bear, deer, swans and eagles are common place.
Eighteen years ago, my wife Carol and I started this business with one five bedroom home. We now have two five bedroom and two four bedroom homes. 80% of our clientele are repeat customers. All of our houses have the following:
- Telephone (service by Telus) complete with voice mail, call display and unlimited local and long distance calling.
- High Speed Internet Connection – ‘WiFi’ – HD Cablevision
- Complete housekeeping weekly, additional housekeeping available to accommodate crew changes etc. Weekly refuse pick up and lawn care included.
- ‘Dry Rooms’. Dry rooms are areas converted within a carport with insulation and a vapor barrier. A heater (hard wired – thermostat controlled) with fan and an exhaust fan removes moisture from the room—an ideal way to dry ‘rain gear.’
- There is literally nothing to bring except food and clothes. All utensils with large and small appliances are included.
